I am a self proclaimed germaphobe so having clean cosmetic brushes has always been important to me. I dreaded the the task of cleaning them. The traditional methods seemed counter intuitive because they all involved scrubbing these delicate tools which can ruin them.
My germaphobia paid off when I made a routine check to the dentist office. Knowing that the dental tools are reused, I asked how they were cleaned and sterilized between each patient. His answer triggered a “light bulb” moment when he explained that an ultrasonic cleaner was used. I then realized that ultrasonic cleaning might work on cosmetic brushes too. BrushPearl was born.
