How to Use an Ultrasonic Cleaner, from Fill to Final Rinse

1. Prepare the workspace and load

Choose one identified item whose cleaning method is established. Set out a rinse container, drying surface and any handling equipment required for the liquid. Keep uncertain materials and irreplaceable objects out of a first trial.

Arrange the item in its required basket or holder. Grant advises spacing objects rather than overlapping them. Check for nested pieces or covered surfaces; split a batch that cannot be arranged as directed.

2. Fill and prepare the bath

Disconnect power before filling where the manual requires it; Magnasonic expressly requires unplugging the MGUC500 before filling. Use the tank's fill markings and allow for displacement when the basket and load are inserted. Never run a model that requires water with an empty tank.

Add only the permitted liquid at its instructed concentration. Complete the model's degassing or other bath preparation in the required order. The separate degassing guide explains the distinction between preparing fresh liquid and cleaning the load.

3. Run the specified cycle

Select the duration and other settings supported for the item and machine. Close the supplied lid as directed and supervise operation; the CD2800 manual says not to leave that unit unattended while plugged in.

Do not reach into an operating bath or remove items mid-cycle. Grant advises stopping the process before handling the load. If you need to inspect early, stop and follow the machine's instructions for hot liquid and basket handling.

4. Inspect, rinse, dry and empty

Inspect the original problem after the cycle. If a deposit remains, identify it and check the process before repeating the run. Finish the item's prescribed rinsing and drying steps; the timer does not complete those tasks.

Disconnect before emptying as directed, then maintain the tank according to its manual. Do not wash the whole electrical appliance under a tap. The CD2800 instructions call for removing remaining water and storing the unit dry.

For future runs, keep one short record of the model, item, liquid, settings and result. That gives you a repeatable procedure and something specific to send support if performance changes.
